Lake Weed Rake NEW Sept 2004 - A push button handle splice is now being shipped with all AWE & Lake Rake units. This eliminates the nut & bolt assembly & disassembly process for either putting the handle together or taking it apart for storage. This splice will also be less abrasive to the hands when using the product. This splice will fit all prior models sold and would be a great upgrade for all existing units.

Beachcomber Lake Rake Roots Out Problem Weeds
Tired of nuisance aquatic weeds on your waterfront property? The only effective method of elimination is to remove the weeds at their source: the roots. The Beachcomber Lake Rake is designed to do just that. Ideally suited for: Beaches, docks and swimming areas as well as ponds, parks, and golf courses.
Safe - Simple - Effective * Eliminates the need for chemicals * No toxic effects in the water * Easy to use as a 1 or 2 man drag * No fear of injury from sharp cutterbars as found on weed shavers. * The Beachcomber is designed to remove aquatic vegetation at it source: the roots. * Removes vegetation and weed trash (as well as sticks, cans, bottles, litter and rocks. * Removes floating algae and weeds with optional float attachment. * Removal of decaying plants and organic matter from the lake bottom prevents muck accumulation which, in turn discourages additonal plant growth. The Principle of pulling the lake weeds cannot be over-emphasized This method is superior to other methods of lake weed control. When the plant's root, stalk and seeds are removed, future regrowth is greatly diminished. Lake bottom muck accumulation is also reduced by the removal of decaying plant matter which will remain when weeds are chemically killed or cut with a blade.
Weight is easily added by removing the yellow end cap and filling the rake bar with stones, gravel or steel pipe. Additional weight increases the Beachcomber's digging action to suit your needs. Full instructions included.
